(JUNE 7)  LAS VEGAS – We are very proud to announce that at our Pre-Celebration “Night of the Star” International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame event on our first day of our event, Friday, October 6th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, we will be honoring three active professional female boxers who are all world champions. They are some of the longest professional boxers in the sport who have fought 25 years plus.

The following night on Saturday October 7, 2023, is the “Night of the Stars” IWBHF Induction Ceremony Dinner event, where we will celebrate honor our 2023 and 2024 IWBHF Inductees, along with our other Special Award Recipients.

With Layla "Amazing" McCarter----she is celebrating 25 years as a professional boxer, with having had 63 professional bouts and continues to fight as a pro, in addition being an eight-time multi-world champion.

Chevelle "Fist of Steel"  Hallback, also a multi-world champion, boxing as a pro for 26 years, with having 44 fights. Hallback is a history-first WBAN P4P Belt holder when she fought Jeannine Garside on a televised show in June of 2008. Hallback and Holly Holm won the first-ever WBAN Belts that night in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  [photo credit: Mary Ann Owen/WBAN Photographer]

Olivia "The Predator" Gerula who has been active as a pro for 26 years.  Olivia is a former WBC super featherweight World Champion, the WIBA intercontinental champion and the UBF intercontinental champion. She has fought 43 bouts, and in eight different countries. Olivia told WBAN, "It's truly been an incredible journey so far."

Also at our pre-celebration event we have two other Special Award Recipients. In one of the awards, we have Jamie Johnson, a pioneer female boxer who fought in the history-first all-female boxing card that took place in the United Kingdom in 1994. She is traveling from the UK to be honored with this special elite award. Also we will honor Michael O’Neill of Ireland who unfortunately passed away and was a long-time journalist for WBAN for his year after year contribution to the sport as a writer.

[Update:  We also have
This will be the first year that we have made our event into a two-day affair. This year is a special year celebration for us, that not only is our 10th year anniversary of the IWBHF, but our 25th year for WBAN.
