(NOV 12) The premier celebratory event in Women’s boxing, the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, has scheduled it’s ninth event on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. This is the second consecutive year the event will be held in the country’s boxing capital and this celebration of the sport of Women’s boxing expects to continue to draw the sold out attendance that has epitomized this event since it’s inception. The 2021 Las Vegas ceremony was highlighted by city’s mayor, Carolyn Goodman, declaring August 14, “Women’s Boxing Day” in Las Vegas.

The 2022 inductees include modern era retired boxers Eva Jones-Young, Margaret Sidoroff, Hannah Fox, Eliza Olson,
Tori Nelson,  Fredia Gibbs, Brooke Dierdorff, Tracy Byrd, Yvonne Reis, Delia Gonzalez, Susi Kentikian along with Cora Webber, whose lengthy boxing career bridges both the sport’s pioneer and modern eras. The non-boxing category consists of Tom Gerbasi, Rose Byrd (Posthumous), Jimmy Finn and Rose Trentman.

This year’s ceremony will also highlight three historical sidebars: the first time twin sisters, Cora and Debra Webber have been honored as inductees, the joint induction of a daughter and mother, Tracy and Rose Byrd and the fact that in addition to her IWBHF induction, a week earlier, October 15, 2022, Eliza Olson will be honored with induction into West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame (WCBHOF).

In addition there will be special award presentations, recognizing contributions to the sport, made to Lupi Beagle Gutierrez, Eddie Montalvo, Jerry Hoffman (Posthumous) along with a Lifetime Achievement award to Bonnie Canino.

The October 22, 2022 semi-formal induction ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m., with the popular meet/greet with the honorees and invited special guests along with the now traditional signing of the 7’ high historical banner by every female boxer.

Jake Gutierrez will once again bring his unique talent to the MC mic, a position he has graced since 2015, along with Christy Martin and Lisa Holewyne conducting a raffle as part of the Christy’s Champs program. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m., with the induction ceremony scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Please advise without this Reservation ID, you will not receive the special rate as noted in this Agreement and may be advised that Hotel is sold out. Operating on Pacific Time, hours of operations are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00.
