The IWBHF Announces Date, Venue for our 2019 Hall of Fame Banquet, and Induction Ceremony!

PORTLAND, OR - (March 16, 2019) This week the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame [IWBHF] finalized the venue for the upcoming 2019 Banquet/Induction Ceremony, that marks our sixth year when the organization was founded in 2014.

The prestigious event will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019, at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, located at 5000 Sierra Point Parkway, Brisbane, CA 94005, Phone/415-467-4400.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Francisco Airport North is ideally located between downtown San Francisco and San Francisco Airport - just 2.5 miles away their complimentary airport shuttle service - this modern San Francisco Airport hotel boasts stunning views of the San Francisco Bay. 

The IWBHF will be in conjunction with the Beautiful Brawlers where after the IWBHF Hall of Fame takes place on Friday---the following day, on Saturday, August 31, 2019, the Beautiful Brawlers will have their huge and fantastic amateur female boxing event that have takem place annually.  Online ticket purchase will also be included for this event.

They will have 25 Championship Bouts featuring the best amateur boxers in the Nation.

In conjunction with the IWBHF Hall of Fame, The Beautiful Brawlers are offering a discount pricing on their tickets for those who attend the Hall of Fame.  The Beautiful Brawlers Amateur event takes place the following day, on Saturday, August 31st.  

This sixth annual induction represents a record breaking number of honorees in the history of this signal institution which has recognized and honored those individuals who have, over the history of the sport of Women’s Boxing, contributed to, advocated for and brought esteem and distinction to the sport in and out of the ring.
Included in this year’s class are seven former boxers:
Terri Cruz, Melissa Fiorentino, Lisa Holewyne, Carina Moreno, Bridgett Riley, Wendy Rodriquez and Martha Salazar. The Non-Boxer category includes David Avila, Stephen Blea and Blanca Gutierrez. Pat Emerick and Patricia [Sandy] Martinez-Pino are recipients in the Pioneer Female Boxer and the Posthumous categories, respectively.

IN THIS SHORT TIME...We already have confirmed many of the retired high-profile boxers who will also be HONORED this day, that are inductees from 2016-2018.  Confirmed so far is
Elena Reid, Daisy Lang, Ada Velez, Britt VanBuskirk, Sumya Anani...and more to follow...

One of our key speakers will be
Roy Englebrecht, and our master of ceremonies Jake Gutierrez.  Jake did a fantastic job as MC when he covered our 2015 Induction ceremony in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida...and MORE to follow....
