(NOV 15)   The New Delhi’s Ashok Hotel witnessed the Official Draw of the 2018 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships, where 277 boxers from 62 nations will be looking to be crowned the best boxers in the planet. The ten-day competition gets underway on Thursday afternoon at the city’s famous KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium.

India’s superstar and five-time world champion MC Mary Kom is among the boxers ready to shine in Delhi, for the delight of the home fans. But the crowd will also be able to witness numerous world and olympic medallists as Finland’s Mira Potkonen and Thailand’s Peamwilai Laopeam.

Conducted by the event Technical Delegate, Mr Pat Fiacco, the Official Draw followed the customary Technical Meeting where the delegations were able to get a detailed run-through of the competition format and rules.
