(AUG 31)  The ten women that will represent Team USA at next month’s Elite Women’s World Championships in New Delhi, India departed from Colorado Springs, Colo. this morning for a multination training camp at the German Olympic Training Center, just outside of Berlin. A full team roster can be seen below.

The team will be at this final training camp until November 9, along with numerous countries, including Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. Head Coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and National Assistant Coach Kay Koroma (Colorado Springs, Colo.) will be leading the Americans, along with Marc Gargaro (Newton, Mass.) and Jeff Mays (San Antonio, Texas), who are serving as assistant coaches.

This year’s World Championships is the first Elite Women’s World Championships since 2016, where Team USA won five medals, one gold, one silver and three bronze medals. One of those bronze medals was won by Christina Cruz (New York, N.Y.), who will be looking for her third World Championships medal this year. Other members of that team competing in New Delhi include Virginia Fuchs (Houston, Texas) and Naomi Graham (Colorado Springs, Colo.).

Other members of USA Boxing’s delegation attending the training camp and/or the World Championships include, Team Sports Psychologist Chris Bader (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Team Doctor Debora Light (Albany, N.Y.) Team Physio Taryn Pennington (Colorado Springs, Colo.), USA Boxing High Performance Manager Liz Podominick (Colorado Springs, Colo.), National Strength and Conditioning Coach Jose Polanco (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Nutritionist Rob Skinner (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and USA Boxing Digital Media and Communications Manager Brian Taylor (Colorado Springs, Colo.).
