Two Female Bouts Featured on a Card in Japan

(JULY 26) On Monday night, at the Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan, there were two female bouts featured on the card.  In addition to women's boxing, there were five men's bouts. 

In a four round bout, Kikuno Shinomiya, 103, of Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan, had her second pro bout against Agehe Android, 103¼, of Tokyo.  Shinomiya won by a second round TKO [0:24] over Android. The referee stopped the fight. Shinomiya is now 2-0-0 (2KO)and Android is 0-2-0.

In an eight-round contest for the OPBF Female Featherweight Title, Kimika Miyoshi, 125, the current OPBF Featherweight champion made her first defense against Japan's Featherweight Champion Wakako Fujiwara, 125¾, of Kobe, Hyogo, Japan.  Fujiwara won the bout by an eight-round unanimous decision over Miyoshi.  Final judges scores were 75-77, 74-78, and 74-78.  Fujiwara improved her record to 6-2-2 (2KO), and Miyoshi is now 13-11-1 (5KO).
