(MAR 6) Multiple New Zealand
Champion Geovana Peres, will be defending her PBCNZ New Zealand
Light Heavyweight title against NZPBA New Zealand Champion Lani
Daniels on March 16th. This bout will be the decider of who
rules the light heavyweight women’s division in New Zealand.
Geovana Peres is the second
female boxer to win two New Zealand professional titles, but the
first to win two title from two different commissioning bodies.
Peres currently holds New Zealand Light Heavyweight title with
New Zealand National Boxing Federation and Professional Boxing
Commission New Zealand. Peres is well known for being the first
person from the LGBT community to win a professional New Zealand
boxing title. Peres is currently ranked 10th on Boxrec in the
heavyweight division and his hoping to get a world ranking on
one of the major boxing bodies. Peres current record is 4 - 1 -
0.
Lani Daniels is a two time New Zealand National Amateur boxing
Champion and a current New Zealand Professional Boxing
Association Light Heavyweight Champion. Daniels has had a big
amateur career and debut into Professional boxing only just last

Trish Vaka with Daniels winning both bouts by Unanimous Decision
with the second bout for the NZPBA New Zealand title.
This bout is scheduled for 10 x 2 min rounds for the PBCNZ light
heavyweight title. The winner will get a nice ranking increase
on Boxrec and hopefully a ranking in one of the major boxing
bodies.
The under will feature the return of Navosa (Smily) Ioata after
a 16 month absence from the ring. 2014 Commonwealth Games Silver
Medalist David Light will also be feature on the undercard along
with the debuting boxer Christopher Cunningham. One of the
biggest bouts on the undercard will be the former World title
contender Robert Berridge, as he comes out of retirement into a
new weight class of Cruiserweight.
