Canadian Champions From The Ringside 2013 Tournament

(AUG 7) On July 31st – August 3rd Ringside Boxing held it’s 13th annual World Championship Amateur Boxing Tournament at the Independence Event Centre in Independence, Missouri. Many Canadian boxers both male and female made the annual trip south to compete in the event and several Canadian women had the honour of crossing customs with a new championship title belt to add to their trophy case.

Special mention should go out to Amanda Galle of Ontario, who has now won three championships in a row and just as impressive she has won them at three different weight categories.

In addition, Stephanie Walker of Nova Scotia is also a multi-time Ringside World Champion as well.

Below is a list of Canadian women who won the Ringside World Championship title at the tournament.


Amanda Galle of Mississauga, Ontario won at112 pounds. This is her 3rd consecutive championship in 3 different weight categories (125lbs, 118lbs and 112lbs).

Marie-Eve Dicaire of Laval, Quebec won the Senior Open 141 pound division title.

Stephanie Walker of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia won the Senior Open 132 pound division title.

Julia Dimarcantonio of Welland, Ontario won the Masters title.

Sabrina Aubin of St. Jean, Quebec won the Senior Open 125 pound title.

Patricia Girardin of Winnipeg, Manitoba won the Senior Novice 112 pound title.

Martine Vallieres-Bisson of Lemoyne, Quebec won the Senior Open 119 pound title.

Deneige Chaffey of Windsor, Ontario won the 13 - 14 year old Novice title at 110 pounds.
