(DEC 8) WBAN has received a press release from the WBC, that longtime veteran, Laura Serrano will return to the ring on December 16, 2011, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Serrano's last fight took place in Germany in 2007, where she fought for a world title against Ina Menzer.

I am planning to be present at the WBC Convention and this fight card.

The Press Release stated the following: On December 16, and to coincide with the WBC Convention, Sampson Boxing in Association with Promociones del Pueblo will proudly present a night of world-class professional boxing featuring five regional title fights at the fabulous Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fights on the card: Main Event, 12 rounds, WBC Latino middleweight title, Marco Antonio Rubio vs. Matt Vanda; Co-feature, 10 rounds, WBC Youth Intercontinental featherweight title, Javier Fortuna vs. Miguel Roman; undercard, 10 rounds, WBC Latino Welterweight title, Azael Cosio vs. Ronnie Warrior; Samuel Rogers vs. Jamar Freeman; John Jackson vs. Keandre Leatherwood; and FEMALE BOUT; six-round female super featherweight attraction between Las Vegas-based southpaw Laura "La Poeta del Ring" Serrano (17-4-2, 6 KOs) and Jamestown, New York's Ela "Bam Bam" Nunez (10-11-1, 2 KOs).

WBAN would like to welcome Laura Serrano back in the ring, and I look forward to seeing her in Vegas to see her  Comeback!

Tickets go on sale Monday (December 12) and are priced at $100 ringside and $25 General Admission. They will be available at the Mandalay Bay box office and online at mandalaybay.com.
