(DEC 1) Today the weigh-in took place for the upcoming "World Dominance" Boxing Card, that will take place tomorrow night at the Route 66 Casino/Hotel, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The mainliner will feature Holly Holm vs. Anne Sophie Mathis for the IBA and WBAN World welterweight title.

In what is considered one of the top women's title fights in the sport---WBAN decided to celebrate this history making fight, by giving back to the long and forgotten retired boxers of the sport. We ran a Fundraiser, to raise money for the Retired Boxers Foundation, a non-profit organization.  At this weigh-in a check for $1,500 was presented to Alex Ramos, President of the Retired Boxers Foundation, and Jacquie Richardson, Executive Director of the Retired Boxers Foundation.

Lastly, I was thrilled to see retired boxer Stephanie Jaramillo at the weigh-in, with her husband and son.  It is always a pleasure to see women boxers who support other boxers, and attend these events---and might I add, wearing a WBAN T-Shirt!
