Good News For Erin McGowan!
Source/Perthnow-
Glen Foreman
November 5, 2011

(NOV 5) According to the Perth Now Online News, the WBC has ordered a rematch for Erin McGowan after her fight in Argentina with Monica Acosta for the light welterweight title was officially declared a "sham".

McGowan and Acosta cut up before their fight

Apparently, after McGowan got to Argentina to fight Acosta in September, the three neutral judges that were stipulated in the boxing contract, were replaced at the last moment with judges from Argentina.

According to the Perth Now, they wrote, " McGowan dominated the fight, cutting Acosta and coming close to stopping her in the fourth round, before the final four rounds became more balanced."

McGowan is very happy about the outcome and wants to fight Acosta in Perth, and she refuses to return to Argentina to fight after what had happened the first time.
