(JUNE 20) After a long hiatus, the
former Chinese professional female boxing world champion Xiyan Zhang
put on a show with a boxer in the Indian national women's boxing
team on June 18, 2009 at the newly-established training camp of the
national female boxing team in Qian'an city of Hebei Province.
Xiyan Zhang, the former WBA, WIBC and WIBA title holder has now
transformed from the world's professional female boxing titlist into
the team leader and the assistant coach of the Chinese national
women's boxing team.
Coming out of retirement, Xiyan Zhang revealed to WBAN, her sole
purpose is to win a gold medal for her homeland if women's boxing
could be included in the 2012 London Olympics.
