Larcinese Wants Rematch with Garbatt
Source: Lucia Larcinese
July 26, 2008

(JULY 26) The fight between Lucia Larcinese and Lindsay Garbatt took place on July 19, 2008, in Ontario, Canada.
Shortly after the fight was stopped in the fourth---the crowd began to immediately chant, "Rematch, Rematch".

Well, the crowd is not the only one crying out for a rematch. Larcinese is also calling foul play on the fight being stopped!

Larcinese wrote an open letter to WBAN about her fight with Garbatt, and she stated the following:

"In regards to the Larcinese vs. Garbatt fight, I will tell you what happened, and my knees never buckled ever in the fight, for the record. The fight was stopped prematurely due to a biased decision that was made by the referee in the 20 seconds left in the fourth round of the fight. How pathetic!
Before the referee stopped the fight, I put my hands up. What the referee should have done was to make me walk forward a couple of steps and see if I could continue, which he never did. I was not in any danger, ready to fight back.
EVERYONE in the arena began to boo the decision and chanting rematch for a few minutes. I find it funny that when the announcer announced Garbatt the winner by TKO, they continued to boo loudly, showing their disappointment, continuously chanting rematch, knowing this was a bullshit fight. For the record, anytime she wants a rematch, she`ll have one. In the meantime, I have been given a 60 day suspension, as a result of a very bad decision."

Note from WBAN: WBAN has requested a person who video'd the fight to get the tape to us, so that we can videostream it.  We also have a photo gallery #487 of fight photos of Lindsay-Garbatt.
