(APR 22) On Saturday night, April 19,
2008, in the Port-of-Spain, Trinidad And Tobago In the women’s
fight, Venezuelan Ana Fernandez, 105, defeated Colombian Olga Julio,
by TKO in the 7th round. One source said, “Good fight. Good
fighters, Exciting and a crowd pleaser.
Fernandez was aggressive and
attacking throughout the fight. Julio countered well each time but
got a little tired after the 5th round. In the 7th round Julio
suffered a bloody nose and on the advice of the .ringside physician
the fight was stopped, 1 minute and 32 seconds into the 7th round.
Fernandez was ahead on points at this juncture.”
