(OCT 21) WBAN has received an update on
Holland's Esther Schouten who has been out of the picture for
awhile---but for just cause. Schouten told WBAN, "It's been a
while since you heard anything about or around me...That's because
after a long time of being tired, losing power and not recovering
after my training, the doctors found out that I had cancer."
Schouten said, "After chemotherapy and radiotherapy the cancer is
K.O.! Before all this happened, I had signed a contract with
one of world's biggest promoters, Universum boxpromotion in Germany.
Because of the check ups in the hospital and negative blood results,
which were discovered before my last fight in Australia, I had to
cancel a few fights in Germany."
"Now that the biggest and most important fight of my life is over,
I'm planning to take a vacation in the Dominican Republic. In
January, I will start to train for my comeback in the ring! I
hope to once become the #1 super bantamweight fighter in the world!"
WBAN wishes the best of luck to Schouten. She is a real
inspiration to all.
