(AUG 18) Last night at the El Paso
County Coliseum, in El Paso, Texas, bantamweight Vanessa Juarez,
121, of Fort Worth, Texas, TKO"d Salina Jordan, 121, 42 seconds in
the first round. The bout was on a Solo Boxeo - Telefutura
show.In the first 10 seconds
of the first round, Juarez caught Jordan, with a left hook, and
dropped her to the canvas with the ref giving her a count.
After the count, Juarez began to throw a barrage of
combinations, when Jordan had appeared to have enough, the ref
intervened and stopped the fight.
