Frida Wallberg, 6-0-0 (1 KOs), of
Gøteborg, Sweden, last fought on June 17, 2005, at the SAS Radisson
in Aarhus, Denmark, when Frida won the vacant WIBF Intercontinental
Junior Lightweight title with a unanimous over Zarika Njeri of
Kenya. After that fight WBAN has not heard much about her.
This week we received an update on Wallberg. In the
expressen.se news, they reported that Wallberg recently gave birth
to a baby girl on March 30, 2007.
According to the newspaper article, she
had a pretty tough pregnancy, but both mother and child are well
now. The doctors have now located the reason for her previous
problems with her back, and she is now back in training. She has
lost a lot of muscles during her pregnancy, but she looks forward to
returning to the ring, and has been promised full support from
Bettina Palle. She might move to Copenhagen next year, in order to
be closer to Team Palle's more qualified trainers.
