(JULY 27) The weigh-in was held today
for tomorrow night's boxing event in Shanghai, China. Laura
Ramsey, of the United States will be fighting Wang Ya Nan. Ramsey
weighed in at 160 lbs. (72.575 Kilograms), and Wang, 156.9 (71.2
kilograms). The two will be fighting 10-rounds, for the WIBA
Middleweight Title.
According to our sources, there was a little bit of confusion on the
weight of Ramsey, because after the weight was announced, and after
the two posed for photographers, and did post-weight interviews with
the media, and after Ramsey had eaten a meal, the Chinese people
were complaining that Ramsey had come in a bit over the limit.
But the issue was resolved, and the fight will continue as planned.
