(JULY 3) Last night at the Pechanga
Resort & Casino, in Temecula, California, and promoted by Roy
Englebrecht Promotions, there was an all-women’s card. In the main
event, Elena Reid, 111¾, won a 10-round unanimous decision over Shin
Hee Choi, 110½, and became the IFBA Flyweight champion. Final scores
were 89-100 on all scorecards.
In the co-main, Kelsey Jeffries, 122¼, won a 10-round unanimous
decision over Donna Biggers, 124, and retained her IFBA
featherweight title.
Also, Chevelle Hallback, 133¾ , defeated Terri Blair, 133¾, in a
eight round bout by a unanimous decision.
On the undercard, featherweights Elizabeth Villarreal, 126¾, and
Brook Dierdorff, 123½, fought to a technical draw after three rounds
of a six-round bout.
Strawweight Melissa Shaffer, 100, defeated Sandra Ortiz, 99½, by a
six-round unanimous decision. More to follow!
