Olszewski Defeats Tomes

(MAY 19) Last night at the Beacon Theatre, in New York, on the “Tomorrow’s Champions” boxing event,  junior bantamweight Eileen Olszewski, 112, of New York, NY, won a six round unanimous decision over Kimberly Tomes, 113 ˝ , of Brooklyn, NY.  Final judges scores were 60-53, 59-54, 59-54. 

It had been reported before this event took place that Maureen Shea was supposed to fight LaKeysha Williams, of Philadelphia, PA, but WBAN was told from an insider who was present at the Duddy Press Conference, who said:  “I was at the Duddy Press conference today and they announced that Shea has taken herself off the card.”  [Team Shea is welcome to give more info as to what happened]
 

In the main event, Middleweights “Ireland’s” John Duddy (20-0, 15 KOs), Queens, NY via Derry, N. Ireland, won a ten round unanimous decision over  Dupre “Total Package” Strickland (18-2-1, 7 KOs), Slidell, LA.

In the co-main, Junior Middleweights Pawel “Raging Bull” Wolak (15-0, 10 KOs), Brooklyn, NY via Poland, won by a second round TKO over Anthony Little (7-7, 1 KO), Akron, OH.

Middleweights Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (12-0, 11 KOs), Brooklyn, NY, TKO’d Victor Paz, Paz (9-4-1, 1 KO), Brooklyn, NY, in the second round.

Junior Middleweights Henry Coyle (2-0, 21 KOs, Chicago, I, via County Mayo, Ireland
WTKO1 (0:48) Samuel Ortiz Gomez (0-3), Orlando, FL.

Heavyweights Vaughn Parham (2-0, 2 KOs), Bronx, NY, WTKO3 (3:00) Kenyatte Ravenell (1-2, 1 KO), Harlem, NY.

Light Heavyweights Denys Lozada (5-1, 2 KOs), Nanuet, NY, won by a four-round unanimous decision over Steve Marcantonio (2-4, 1 KO), Rahway, NJ. Final judges scores were 40-35, 39-36, 39-36.
