September 9, 2006, in Magdeburg, Germany, Susianna
Kentikian (WBAN's 2005 Rookie of the year), fights out of
Germany, will be facing Maribel Zurita, of the United
States. This should be an exciting fight between these two boxers.
The two will be fighting for the WIBF Inter-Continental Flyweight
Title, and this could be the toughest competition thus far for
Kentikian.
Other women’s bouts on the card included Regina Halmich, of
Germany vs. Ria Ramnarine of Trinidad. They will be fighting
a 10-rounder, with Halmich defending her WIBF flyweight title;
Ina Menzer vs. Leli Luz Florez, 10 rounds, WIBF
featherweight title; and Alesia Graf vs. Maria Jose Nunez
Anchorena, 10 rounds, for the vacant GBU super flyweight title.
