(JAN 5) WBAN
has received a press release from Ryan Wissow, in his response in regards to
today's article that Gwendolyn O'Neil had
been reinstated under Luis Bello(.
Wissow's press release stated the following:
"I have informed Gwendolyn O'Neil's team that she has NOT been reinstated as
WIBA Champion. I contacted O'Neil's lawyer, and the head of the Guyana
Boxing Board
Trevor Arno. Luis Bello, once my partner, no longer works with the
WIBA. I own all legal rights to the WIBA. I registered the WIBA with the
U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and the Association of Boxing Commissions. It
is *my* ratings, by-laws, champions, and website that is officially
registered and recognised.
I developed the WIBA from the beginning, and I was the one who terminated
the working relationship with Mr. Bello.
Because of this, Mr. Bello has resorted to emails and outrageous claims, in
an attempt to stir up trouble and confusion involving the WIBA.
I let Mr. Bello retain control of the men's sanctioning body, the UBC
(Universal Boxing Council).
I also registered the UBC with the FTC/ABC, and I came up with the
name/concept of the UBC, after Luis started a men's organization under the
name IBU, a name already taken by Moose Lewis in Atlanta. Moose can attest
to this. But I have let Luis keep absolute control of the UBC.
I am now the President and C.E.O. of the WIBA.
Any fights that Luis Bello attempts to sanction as WIBA title fights, I will
tell the ABC not to recognise those bouts as WIBA title fights in FightFax.
I have legal rights over the WIBA organization, and any claims made
otherwise by Mr. Bello is FRAUD. RYAN WISSOW, W.I.B.A. President and
C.E.O.
