(AUG 13) WBAN got an
opportunity to talk with Tracy “Lady” Byrd, and get an update on what
she has been doing lately.
Byrd said, “Now, I'm off to California to fight Valanna McGee...My
birthday is the day after the fight (August 27th)...I'm proud to say,
I'll be 41 years young (just call me lil' Foreman - ha, ha). Anyway, I
plan on coming with it...As I surprised Rylik, and woke up Ro...I say to
McGee, "Don't let the age fool you."
Byrd told WBAN, that she would love to have a rematch with Aga Rylik, of
Poland, to get her title (WIBO) back. She also added that one of her
“dreams” is fighting on the same card as her brother Chris Byrd, with
both of them fighting for a title.
Byrd said that she does not see herself in the sport after this year,
but that after she stops boxing, she would like to coach girls
basketball and boxing.
