Lisa "Bad News" Brown Joins Rock & Sock Productions
July 20, 2005

(JULY 20) IWBF Bantamweight champion
Lisa Brown has signed an exclusive promotional agreement with “A Ring of Their Own” promoters Rock & Sock Productions.
Brown, (11-1-2, 4 KO’s) just claimed a victory over Kelli Cofer on June 18 in Edmonton, Alberta on an “A Ring of Their Own” card. Lisa is an exciting addition to the talented fighters already under contract to Rock & Sock, including Asa Sandell  and
Elena "Baby Doll" Reid.

“I am looking forward to a bright future with Rock & Sock Productions and working with the people affiliated with them. I am very excited,” Lisa said Monday from her hometown of Toronto. “It will be a good thing to fight in
the “A Ring of Their Own” series because we need the recognition to tell the world that women can also do what men do.”

“Ken Weiss and I are looking forward to having Lisa on board. She’s a versatile fighter who comes ready to do her job, and her enthusiasm is contagious,” Rock & Sock promoter Arnie “Tokyo” Rosenthal stated. “We believe Lisa is the best in several weight classes and we’ll give her the
opportunity to prove it.”

Lisa’s next Rock & Sock fight will come later this fall in the next installment of the “A Ring of Their Own” series. She will also be featured in “A Ring of Their Own’s” first pay per view show November 19th.

“A Ring of Their Own” is the only all women’s boxing series. It is produced monthly and distributed to over 30 million TV households in the US and Canada.
