(JULY 12) Southaven, MS – On July 19th,  “TKO TUESDAY” will invade Lula, MS Helena, AK and the greater regions of the mid-south as the Isle of Capri Casino & Prize Fight Boxing present 8 exciting fights televised nationally on ESPN2’s Tuesday Night Fight series to over 80 million homes nationwide. Headlining the great night of fights will be Lamont Peterson 11-0 (6 KO’s) vs Miguel Angel Torresillas 16-4-1 (7 KO’s) in a 10 round Jr. Welterweight main event.

Lamont will take a step up as he exposes his exceptional ability to America for the first time as a pro. Lamont was a finalist at the 2004 Olympic Trials in Tunica, MS and turned pro on September 25, 2005 on the Roy Jones Jr. vs Glen Johnson under card at the FedExForum in Memphis, TN. Since September Lamont has battled 11 times successfully ascending the JR. Welterweight ladder at a rapid pace.

“This is Lamont’s coming out party to America. To this point Lamont has been the best kept secret in boxing, but on July 19 the secret will be no more. Lamont will show the boxing world what I already knew, that he is the future at 140 pounds,” stated Brian Young of Prize Fight Boxing.

The feature bout on the card will showcase 7-Time World Champion Ann “Brown Sugar” Wolfe 20-1 (14Ko’s) versus Monica Nunez 9-3 (4 KO’s) of Irvington, NJ. Ann  considered by many along with Laila Ali to be one of the two best female boxers in the world today will battle Nunez in an 8 round Super Middleweight event. Ann’s bout will be televised on ESPN2 nationally and will showcase women’s boxing to all of the viewing audience.

Along with the main event and the feature attraction there will be 6 other world class boxing events on the card. Martin Verdin 6-6-1 (3 KO’s) duels with Pete Johnson 5-3 (3 KO’s) in a 6 round match. Charles Ellis 1-0 (1 KO) battles Sugi Fox in a 4 round heavyweight battle. Emmanuel Ford versus Ty Barnette in a 4 round lightweight fight.

Leon Bobo 8-0 (1 KO) takes on Miguel Delgado in a 6 round featherweight fight. Alvin Manley 7-0-1 (3 KO’s) will square off with Dominique Jenkins in a 4 round heavyweight match. DeAndrey Abron 3-0 (3 KO’s) will fight an opponent to be named later in a 4 round light heavyweight boxing match.

The fight card will be promoted by Prize Fight Boxing, doors will open at 6:30 pm and the first bout will begin at 7 pm. ESPN2 will begin it’s live telecast at 8 pm cst and will conclude at 10 pm cst.
