(JUN 29) WBAN has just received confirmation that the Jessica Rakoczy vs.
Jane Couch title bout is official!
Chris Printup told WBAN the following: "I am proud to announce that on
July 21st reigning Lightweight World Champion Jessica Rakoczy will square
off with battle tested veteran Jane Couch (UK) in a 10 Round barnburner for
the vacant WBC Lightweight World Championship.
The fireworks won't end on
July 4th for women's boxing, because on July 21st two of the sports most
respected and talented stars will provide the crowd with their own brand of
explosives! Rakoczy will also be defending her IBA World Title."
The fight will be taped for later broadcast on FOX's SUNDAY NIGHT FIGHTS
series.
