WBAN to be Featured on Chic Sports Radio

The Women's Boxing Archive Network (WBAN) will be featured as part of the launch of
Chic Sports Radio which goes live with a weekly show about women's sports on
April 8.
WBAN is part of a lengthy list of leagues and organizations which will
provide reports and updates about their respective sports. Those also on
board include: The LPGA, The WNBA, The Sony Ericsson Women's Tennis Tour,
The National Women's Football Association, The National Pro Fast Pitch
League, The Women's Bass Fishing Association, Women's Professional Billiards
Association, The Women's Poker Club, and The Women's Sports Foundation,
according to network officials.
WBAN Senior editor Brian Ackley will provide information on women's boxing.
Ackley has served as the play-by-play voice and color commentator for NCAA
Division I football and basketball as well as professional soccer in the
Western New York area.
"We are delighted with the response and support we've received from all of
these professional leagues. Their correspondents will give our listeners the
latest news on these sports and provide us with interviews with some of
their top stars. If our listeners are new to women's professional sports or
simply want the latest and most up to date information, CHIC SPORTS RADIO
pro correspondents will do just that," states VP Debby Lening.
CHIC SPORTS RADIO will debut on April 8, 2005 at 9:00pm Eastern Standard
Time on Sports Byline. CHIC SPORTS RADIO will be broadcast on Sports Byline
USA Radio Network (http://www.sportsbyline.com
) which consists of nearly 200 US radio stations and more than 500 stations
in 177 countries of the American Forces Network. The show will also be heard
on SIRIUS Satellite Radios channel 122.
WBAN's Brian Ackley will be tentatively scheduled for May of 2005.
