OTHER HELPFUL HINTS TO GET PUBLISHED ON WBAN - SUBMISSION SUGGESTIONS

When submitting a story, please specify that it is a press release. Submissions must be original if they are a story, and we need to have permission to use them on WBAN. Please keep in mind that the less work and time it takes to publish a story on WBAN, the more likely it will be posted fairly fast. If we get a lot of sketchy information, written poorly and incomplete, it may not be able to be published and or it will be delayed until we can get sufficient information and editing done on the piece.

If possible, let us know how to contact you if we need any additional information, via email, or phone, within the United States.

If your story is about a female or male boxer, that is under the age of 18 years old. Please make sure that we have permission from their parent or custodian Guardian that we can have that story published on WBAN.

Date of event, whether it is the press conference, weigh-in, or fight.

Details of what happened, quotes from boxers, promoters, managers, trainers, etc.

Are there special guests, celebrities at the events?

Photos taken, any photos sent to WBAN need permission to publish from that photographer who has intellectual rights to his works.

Ticket information if it pertains to the story.

Weigh-ins: Submit photos if possible WITH the weights.

Any behind the scene stories, i.e., public workouts, in the gym preparing for a fight.

Videos: Direct link to the Youtube or other source of the video.

Avoid sending links to other boxing sites, wanting WBAN to simply link their story. WBAN is a unique site that its goal is to have unique material.

Don’t post the story on Facebook on WBAN, send the story and photos directly to WBAN to first publish. After we can edit the story an make it look presentable we can link it to our facebook.

Do NOT copy and paste a boxing story from another site, and submit it to WBAN. Let WBAN know that it is actually on another site.

Is it a PRESS RELEASE? Let us know upfront what you are submitting to escalate it being posted on WBAN.

WBAN has an online form to submit stories, or you can send the story through our online contact form, or send the story directly to WBAN100@aol.com – You can only email us photos or send us a link to copy them off of a online page. You cannot send photos through the online forms.
