October 28, 2011 -Mansfield Tavern, Mansfield, Queensland, Australia
In what was meant to be an off telecast bout, Julie Gaston returning from knee surgery retained her Australian Women's Bantamweight title with a tough 8 round split decision win over Sarah George. The fight was a rematch from 2010 when Gaston claimed the Queensland Women's Bantamweight title over George. Gaston looked in control in the opening round before the fight started to open up in round 2 with George happy to box on the inside while the current champion, Julie Gaston was trying to shake up her opponent on the inside.
Gaston opened the 3rd round with a big right hand before throwing her punches freely in round 4 troubling George.  Both girls were looking fatigued in round 6 after the early round were fought at such a high intensity. Both fighters were cut displaying claret but continued to give their all continually throwing their punches. A massive head clash 30 seconds into the final round opened a bad cut over the eye of the challenger, Sarah George which was spilling blood. The doctor judged it was ok to continue and was declared an accidental head clash. Time was called again with 25 seconds left but the ref and doctor both agreed to let it continue due to the little time left. Both went toe to toe to the end with the judges scoring it (77-76, 75-77, 77-75).

October 28, 2011- Salinas, California
Carina Moreno

a, 108,  won the WBC "Youth" light flyweight belt against Tania Cosme, 108.  22 years old.  Cosme retired in the sixth round. (Cosme rated #19 on Boxrec, Silva #5 with Boxrec).

Super bantamweight Alejandra Zamora, 121¼, won a four-round unanimous decision over Alejandra Morales, 120¾. Final judges scores were 40-36, 40-36 and 40-36½.

There were two women's title bouts on the card. In one bout Susi Kentikian, 111¼, won by a 10-round unanimous decision over Teeraporn Pannimit, 110¾. Final judges scores were 100-90 on all cards.  In a second women's bout, Christina Hammer remained undefeated, now with a 11-0-0 (7KO) records when she defeated Vashon Living in a 10-round unanimous decision, winning the WBO middleweight title.

October 15, 2011 -  Gimnasio Revolución, Calpulálpan, in Tlaxcala, Mexico
Mariana "Barbie" Juarez
, 111.5, of Mexico City, Mexico, successfully defended her WBC Flyweight title against Gabriela Bouvier, of Uruguay, when she stopped Bouvier in the fourth round of a 10 round bout. In May of 2011, Juarez stopped Bouvier in the seventh round, again, Juarez defending her WBC flyweight title. It can be safe to assume that Juarez can take on other opponents at this time---stopping Bouvier TWICE in one year, fighting for the same belt. Before Bouvier fought Juarez, she has not fought anyone of significance in this sport---one has to wonder how she got these title shots.

October 15, 2011 - Quintana Roo, Mexico
Australian boxer, Susie Ramadan, 116¼, undefeated going into the fight with a 21-0-0 (8KO) record, fought and lost to Yazmin Rivas,118, (from Mexico), by a 10-round (controversial) split decision. This was Ramadan's first venture in the sport of fighting out of Australia.  WBAN has already been contacted with some not-so-good feedback about the (controversial) split decision loss of Ramadan.
Regardless---Rivas won the vacant IBF Bantamweight World title, with judges scores in her favor of 97-93, 97-93.
One of the judges saw the fight for Ramadan, with a score of 94-96.

October 8, 2011 -  San Martin, Argentina
Yesica Marcos, 122, TKO5 Simone Da Silva Duarte, 122.  Although Duarte showed "attitude" against Marcos, and taunted Marcos at times, with dropping her hands, and showing little respect for Marcos, she was no threat in this bout against Marcos.  Marcos beat her to the punch, was faster, in better condition, and was aggressive throughout the four rounds that they fought.  At the end of round four, Duarte appeared to be injured, and did not come out for the fifth round.  The two were fighting for the WBO Interim Junior featherweight title.

October 8, 2011 -  Hatterseim am Main, Germany
Welterweight Jessica Balogun TKO4 Sarah Huebner.
