One Boxing Insider who saw the video of the Acuna vs. Santos fight said the following about the footage: "Sue, just saw a video from Argentina of the Acuna fight. She is a masterful boxer.   Took Dos Santos apart like a surgeon for 10 rounds. She tried for the KO but Dos Santos wouldn’t go down, Acuna out boxed her with her speed and movement.  I think if she had worked the body a little more she mite have stopped her with a series to the liver.  But that Dos Santos is one tough lady.  For 10 rounds Acuna beat her up.  She will be all black and blue the next day and have a wicked head ache.  The Ref let it go on for 10 rounds, never thought of stopping it.  Then with 45 seconds to go and Dos Santos still eating the punches but moving and throwing back and in no worse shape than she had been all fight long, he steps in and stops it.  Everyone in the ring, the 2 fighters and the crowd couldn’t understand it,  He lets her take a beating all that time and she hangs in giving her all hoping to go 10 and then at the last minute he pulls the plug.  Well a very good fight for Acuna she is really a Champion and hats off to Dos Santos for a ton of guts."
