(JULY 23) Last night at the Northern Lights Casino, in Anacortes,
Washington, Seattle's Junior Middleweight Tricia Turton, 3-0-0 (2KO), scored
a TKO over Chris King of Greenwood, Colorado. King was making her pro debut,
and her lack of ring experience showed.
Though King was taller, she was unable to keep Turton from fighting inside.
Turton also threw effective combinations, and in the end, they are what took
the toll. The referee stopped the fight at 1:18 of the 2nd round when Turton
had King against the ropes, landing shots to the head and body, and King was
unable to stop them or even defend herself. |
