(MAR 29) In a recent press release that WBAN received, it was in regards to a recent world title bout that took place on March 18th, at the Gimnasio Futbol Club, Vera, Santa Fe, Argentina.  In that bout, Kim Connor, 131, of Little Rock, Arkansas, fought Victoria Bustos, who is from of Santa Fe, losing a unanimous decision with final scoring was 96-94, 97-93, and 99-91.   Full Story

(MARCH 29)  A sad day in New Zealand Boxing as “The Samoan Sniper” Kirsty Lupeamanu announces her retirement due to a Pituitary Gland Tumour.  “As some of you may have known (not many) I have had a pituitary tumour for almost 4 years now...I had been signed off to boxing......however was not warned about possible bleeding in the tumour or growth. …Unfortunately I have been medically stopped to box...I was told if I continue,  I face fatal consequences” Kirsty announced on Facebook.  Full Story

Melissa St. Vil to Defend WBC title against Jessica Gonzalez

(MAR 27) This coming Friday, March 31, 2017, Melissa "Little Miss Tyson" St. Vil, 9-2-3, of Brooklyn, New York, born in Haiti, will be fighting Mexico's Jessica Gonzalez, 7-3-1, at the Karibe Convention Center in Petionville, Haiti. St. Vil will be defending her super featherweight WBC Silver title. This will be St. Vil’s second defense.

(MAR 11) A new Women’s Champion was crowned last night at ABA Stadium, with Alrie Meleisea winning the New Zealand National (NZPBA Version) and UBF Asia Pacific Female Heavyweight Titles.  Alrie Meleisea took on Tongan Born Nailini Helu for the second time in their career, the first bout being on the Robert Berridge vs Adrian Taihia undercard in October. Meleisea took the bout in October on 48 hours notice and won the bout by split decision.  Full Story
