Knight Wins by a decision

(FEB 10) Last night in Laughlin, Nevada, Ava Knight, 112, of Chico, California, in an action-packed bout, won a six-round unanimous decision over Sharon Gaines, 111.  Final judges scores were 58-56 on all cards.  Butch Gottlieb told WBAN, “Look at Knight to be wearing a belt in this sport, she is fantastic.”   Full Story

Reid to Defend Against Olszewski

(FEB 8) Elena Reid will defend her WIBA flyweight title against Eileen Olszewski on February 28, over ten rounds, at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Reid (19-3-5) has not fought since her July 7 title defense win over Shin-Hee-Choi in Temecula, CA and has fought only three times in the past two years. Full Story
