(MAR 12) Last night at the
Downtown Las Vegas Event Center, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in front
of a packed house on a Roy Jones Jr. Promotions card, Marina
Ramirez, of Las Vegas, fought Judy Pereira, Canada, in a
four rounder, at the 105 lb., Strawweight division.
Right from the sounding bell both
fighters came out swinging every second of the two minute round.
This was a battle of heart and with either fighter coming up for
air.
Both fighters were firing shots
at each other not backing down, Pereira was outstanding in view
of the fact that she hasn't fought in two years, she had not
ring rust at all.
The fight could have gone either
way or even a draw, the Judges scores 39-37, 39-37, and 38-38
giving the win to Las Vegas fighter Marina Ramirez. I give
this match a A+, it was very competitive.
