Open Statement: The Serranos'
against The WIBA!
September 9, 2014
(SEPT 9) As some will
may already know--- there is a lot of buzz circulating around
the social media network, i.e., Facebook, Twitter of some
of the Top female boxers making a public stance in regards to Ryan Wissow,
the President of the WIBA. [New Facebook:

This situation came about "and it was all" brought up by Mr. Ryan Wissow himself for his derogatory
and degrading remarks directed to some of the female boxers who
fought for his federation----and about women in general.
Wissow has repeatedly used
demeaning names that we will not mention here about American
women. (We do have them saved for future and further references
and can be easily viewed on Twitter, Facebook, etc.) Yes----- the same nationality of most of the women who pay
and fight for his WIBA titles.
Over the last few weeks, a few of us women have flown to
fight in our opponents' hometown. As we put our
records on the line and take a chance of being robbed----just to
find upon our return from those fights, to read that Mr. Wissow
was wishing us losses!
Why you may ask? Because apparently it wasn't to his benefit or for
his title, only Wissow knows for sure on this one. But
this is the "same" man that our promoters once paid a
sanctioning fee---and now he in essence becomes our biggest Foe!
The Serrano sisters, Cindy and
Amanda vow to NEVER fight for this organization again.....
We are not only defending ourselves, but every other female
fighter who has been treated in the manner that we are going
public about at this time.

been disrespected by Mr. Wissow. There are documented
remarks by him, via Twitter that are posted on this Facebook.
When you check this out, it will not be too difficult to
understand why we, female boxers are taking a stand and
exposing what is going on.

for yourself Mr. Wissow's own words, his tweets, language, and
his thoughts about the very same people who feed him through
fighting for his belts.
As many of us female boxers feel at this time, we do not
want to be a part of this man, who apparently "bites" the hands
that feed him.
Remember the person across from you in a bout is not always the
only opponent you'll have to fight.
