History-First International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame - July 10th in Florida

PORTLAND, OR---On July 10, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, (Pier Sixty-Six), in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in a history first, the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame [IWBHF] will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

All Inductees will be in attendance: Christy "The Coal Miner's Daughter" Martin, Bonnie Canino, Lucia Rijker (the Villian in the award-winning movie-Million Dollar Baby), Regina Halmich, Christy Halbert, Barbara Buttrick, and posthumous JoAnn Hagen. We will also be honored to have two of our WBAN world champion holders: Diana Prazak of Australia, and Chevelle "Fists of Steel" Hallback present as special guests. Both Prazak and Hallback were our history-first WBAN holders. Hallback won the first-ever WBAN belt on Pay-Per-View in June of 2008, and Prazak won the WBAN belt in the history-first in 2013, in Sweden.

Sue TL Fox, the founder of both WBAN and the IWBHF will be in attendance, and will be presenting the awards to the Inductees. The IWBHF Induction Ceremony Brunch is being held in conjunction with the 2014 Women’s National Golden Gloves.
