Video: Kaliesha West to fight tomorrow night
April 13, 2012

(APR 13) Tomorrow night at the Ernesto Ruffo Appel Municipal Gymnasium, in Rosarito B.C. Mexico, WBO Bantamweight Champion, Kaliesha “Wild Wild” West, 14-1-3, 4 KOs), of Moreno Valley, California, will defend her title against Claudia Andrea “La Chica 10” Lopez, 18-5-0, 4 KOs), of Trelew, Chubut, Argentina. West’s 10-round, WBO title defense will be featured on the Mexican television network, Televisa, as part of their weekly boxing series “Sabados de Corona.” The fight card is presented by Box Latino, led by Mexican boxing legend and seven-time world champion, Erik “El Terrible” Morales.

With that said, WBAN has included a video of West, where she talks about the sport, the roles of trainers, and her beginning roots in the sport with her trainer-father Juan West in the sport. She also talks about the disappointments that go along with the role of what trainers do with fighters, just to lose them easily after they are the ones who get boxers to where they are when they are snatched up by others in the sport.

The fight card tomorrow night is presented by Box Latino, led by Mexican boxing legend and seven-time world champion, Erik “El Terrible” Morales.

Tickets for Kaliesha’s fight are available at the Ernesto Ruffo Appel Municipal Gymnasium box office in Mexico. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the offices of Bobby D. Presents at +1 (619) 420 8866. On fight night, the doors will open at 5pm, with the first fight starting at 6pm.
