(AUG 24) As we reported last week, this year the sport of women's boxing is set to see one of the biggest women's boxing fights in the history of the sport when Anne Sophie Mathis of France, fights Holly Holm on December 2, 2011. Mathis and Holm are going to fight for the WBAN Independent world welterweight title and a federation belt.

WBAN has made a decision that anytime our WBAN belt (no sanctioning fee fight) goes on any world title bout between the top women in the sport---we will make a donation to the Retired Boxers Foundation, a non-profit organization who is in great need of help from the boxing community so they can continue there mission to help retired boxers.  

WBAN has also decided to have a "First-Time" Fundraiser beginning today,  to raised money for the retired boxers, along with our donation we will have the additional funds to add that will go to this organization.

Our fundraiser will be a sale of collected memorabilia unique items that WBAN has accumulated throughout the 13 years of being on the net and covering fights.  WBAN will have these items donated from our organization for the Fundraiser.  We will use our discretion to end the Fundraiser depending on participation of the public.
