(AUG 5) “Necessary Roughness” the
new USA network drama, filmed a new episode at Xavier Biggs’
Decatur Boxing Club, on New Street in Decatur , GA. Decatur
Boxing Club has been used on location in several media and
television productions for well known companies like Turner
Studios, Mattel, Sherman Williams, Travelocity, The Prostrate
Cancer Coalition, and more. “Decatur Boxing Club has the flavor
of an old school “Philly” style boxing gym that’s perfect for
the camera”, said Biggs.

Champion Terri Moss also of Decatur Boxing Club was the
technical advisor and choreographer for the boxing
scenes and trained actress Alyssa Diaz, the main
character in the episode, and at Moss's suggestion, Las
Vegas
fighter Melinda Cooper, was cast |

| as the double for Diaz.
“Melinda Cooper was a great match for Alyssa Diaz- and
Alyssa was very excited to have a world class fighter
like Melinda to partner with. It was amazing to have
this opportunity to work together, and I really enjoyed
working with Melinda Cooper as well.” Terri said.
Necessary Roughness is aired on Wednesday nights at 10pm
on USA Network. |
