(DEC 15) Attention fight fans across Southern California! The holidays begin early this year as Orange County's celebrated Battle in the Ballroom fight series is set to take things to the next level by offering fans the opportunity to attend an historic event.

On Dec 17, 2009, Roy Englebrecht Promotions will launch the Ballroom's first Hybrid Fight Card featuring some of California's most promising prospects in professional boxing and mixed martial arts. With 4 scheduled boxing bouts and 2 scheduled mixed martial arts contests, this show will be a surefire bonanza for fight fans seeking competitive contests and punishing knockouts!

Boxing action will be headlined by a women's bout featuring undefeated Chika Nakamura (8-0, 3ko) of Los Angeles, who places her perfect record on the line against Santa Ana sensation, Gloria Ramirez.

In other action local featherweight prospect Robert Vargas (4-0-1) attempts to remain unbeaten against out-of-state challenger Carlos Luque in an exciting rematch from just two months ago. In a great six round super-middleweight clash Long Beach's own knockout-artist Danny Perez (8-6-1, 5ko's) will test his mettle against Marriott fan-favorite Billy Bailey (9-5-3, 3ko's) from Bakersfield.

MMA fans will be in for a real treat! Dec 17th's MMA action kicks off with a light heavyweight showdown between Ramon Franco (1-0-1) and Carlos Fuentes (2-2), two fearless fighters who love to brawl! MMA returns later in the evening in the Main Event as fans will see the much anticipated rematch between Aaron Miller (8-6) and Brian Abrams (4-1), two fighters who squared-off earlier this year at the OC Fair SUMMERFIST show. The winner of this bout will be awarded the coveted Iceman Rx Belt.

Only about 80 tickets remain and are selling fast. Tickets can be purchased at battleintheballroom.com.
