(NOV 11)  Yesterday in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, at the Shark Tank Sports bar, Ann Marie Saccurato and Jelena Mrdjenovich met for the first time since their first fight that took place on November 4, 2006, when Saccurato won a split decision and the WBC Lightweight title from Mrdjenovich.

Saccurato will defend her title  this Friday [Nov 13th] at the Shaw Centre in Edmonton. Promoter Glen Carriere said at the press conference after reviewing the fight tape  of the first fight, he felt that Mrdjenovich won the fight and that the judges felt pressured by the fact that a film crew from the USA was filming a documentary on Saccurato.

Saccurato's manager Butch Gottlieb said that he believed Saccurato won the first fight and will win this one. Gottlieb also stated that he never met such a dedicated fighter in his life and he expects her to win.

Mrdjenovich said she has been "re-habing" her knee since her surgery seven months ago and she has been waiting three years for this rematch.

Saccurato said, she knows Jelena will come to fight and she has waited a life time for this title and she is not about to give it up. The fight is called "Redemption".
