Today: Press Conference at the City Chambers
July 15, 2009
Source: PR

(JULY 15) A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, at the City Chambers, City of Las Vegas, 1700 North Grand Avenue in Las Vegas, New Mexico at 2:00 p.m.   "Mayor Tony E. Marquez, Jr., welcomes the champions to the Original Las Vegas, home of the Wild Wild West!"

Fresquez Productions, Inc. in conjunction with The City of Las Vegas is proud to announce that “Pound for Pound Boxing Queen” Holly Holm will once again enter the ring to defend her WIBA Welterweight World Title on August 28, 2009. Holm, who is a 3-time Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year and 6-time World Champion, will attend for the announcement of her opponent.

The semi-main event will be featuring Las Vegas’ own Frankie Archuleta, who was Johnny Tapia’s rival in 2004 and 2005. Archuleta will be fighting Lorenzo Estrada from Las Cruces, NM. This fight will be a re-match from 1997, from which Frankie won. An exciting 6-round bout scheduled for that night is Joseph Brady and Lucas Galle, both from the Albuquerque area.

The under-card features Las Vegas’ own brother and sister duo Arturo and Amanda Crespin.
