Press Conference: Holm vs. Lamare

(JAN 22) Yesterday at the Isleta
Casino and Resort, in New Mexico, the press conference was held for
tomorrow nights card, which will feature Holly Holm vs. Myriam
Lamare, of France. Holm and Lamare will be fighting for the WIBA
Welterweight title in a 10-rounder.
Lucia Rijker is in New Mexico with Lamare. She was training Lamare
in Los Angeles, in preparation to fight Holm.
At the press conference, Rijker represented the sport well when she
spoke to the people on scene. She also expressed that she would hope
that the judges will be fair, and that Holm is considered a top
boxer and she needs no help from the judges.
Lenny Fresquez, the promoter of the event, took center stage and
said that none of the judges were local, and were from out of state.
Fresquez went on to say, that take the equation out of the judges,
and that he would pay $5,000 to either Lamare or Holm, if there is a
knockout!
