Team Olszewski Statement on the Olszewski-Raoui WIBA Title Bout
December 24, 2008

(DEC 24) Team Olszewski would like to comment on remarks made about the December 20th fight that took place in Zurich, Switzerland. Some members of the Boxing press have called the decision controversial.

The only thing we find controversial is the scoring of the Austrian Judge Vogl who had it 98-92 for Raoui.

We knew an Austrian judge would be biased for the German fighter because the promoter, Saureland Events only uses the Austrian Boxing Commission in Germany and Switzerland. He was the local judge who favored the local fighter.

Eileen was quoted after the fight, " I feel that I landed the more effective punches throughout the fight and did more than enough to win." Eileen was the only fighter from the Red corner not to lose that night. Evander Holyfield also came out of the red corner.

Saureland Events fighters all came from the blue corner. Anyone one who knows boxing,  knows how hard it is to get out with a draw on foreign soil.

It would be totally irrational to think that the judges would favor Eileen Olszewski who was coming out of the opponent corner .  That would be an absurd thought!
