Weekend Results in Women’s Boxing

(JULY 28) There were many women’s boxing results around the world. On Friday night at the Arena Adolfo López Mateos, Tlalnepantla, México, strawweight Ana Fabiola Arrazola, 103, TKO’d Cristina Serrano, 104, in the fourth round of an eight round bout. Also, featherweight Jessica Villafranca, 126, won a four-round unanimous decision over Rosa Alvarez, 124.

At the Pre-Saint-Didier, Aosta, Valle d'Aosta, Italy, flyweight Loredana Piazza won a four-round bout by points Marina Horvath. In Novalja, Pag, Croatia, welterweight Ivana Bilman, TKO’d [2:00] Anna Maria Gavaida, in the third round of a four round bout.

At the Centro de Boxe, Curitiba, Parana, Brazil, featherweight Jennifer Goncalves Maia won an eight-round bout by points over Juliana De Aguiar. This bout was for some local title [Parana State Featherweight Title].

On Saturday night at the Casino Cinema, in Nairobi, Kenya, featherweight Rukia Nasarite, fought to a four-round draw with Evalyne Adero, pro debuter.

In Laubach, Germany, in front of 5,000 noisy fans, local girl Rola El-Halabi, 133½, retained her WIBF European lightweight title against Marina Kohlgruber, 131¼, when all three judges scored the bout 100:90 in her favour. Final judges scores were 90-100 on all.
