Mukami Vs Achieng II
By Edward Sande

April 24, 2008

(APR 24) Kenyan Middleweight prospect Charity Mukami [1-1] is set for a second date with former GBU Middleweight Champion Conjestina Achieng [14-4-3]. On 3rd May the two will face off in a 6 round non title fight. This is going to be the second time the boxers step into the ring together.

Their first meeting in December 2007 was an exciting match with many fans thrilled at the newcomer's fluidity in the boxing ring. Charity ran circles around the former champion and managed a draw score from one judge. Conjestina is fresh out of a 3rd round stoppage of another Kenyan Patroba Lihavi [0-1] on the 19th of April 2008. That fight was Lihavi's professional debut

'I am in a better position to win this rubber match' the soft spoken Mukami said. I learnt a lot about her style last year, and we have been working on how to overcome her approach. She said at a press breakfast at the New Babylon Casino in the 680 Hotel, Nairobi.

The event will be promoted by Solid Rock Boxing Promotions at the KICC Amphitheatre.
