by Henry Okafor

April, 2008

(APR 24) The WIBF world champion Ijeoma Egbunine is back again after taking a year off. She will be  making a homecoming fight on May 9, 2008, at the Fiesta Rodeo, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Egbunine is fighting in the main event of a Golden Girl Boxing Promotions that is their pro debut in promotion.  She will be fighting Lisa Ested.  Ested last fight was against Ann "Brown Sugar" Wolfe, where she lost to a unanimous decision in 2006.  There will be three other women's bouts on the card.

Egbunine said, "I have a score to settle with Laura Ramsey, Nikki Eplion, and after that, I will collect from Natasha Ragosina."

"You [Ragosina] must stop fighting junior middle weights for super middleweights. That is an insult to female boxing.  You cannot continue with Laila's pattern in order to avoid defeat, " added Egbunine.  Source: Press Release
