Mary Kom honored with CNN-IBN Award

(APR 19) Amateur World Boxing champion
and WBAN's 2006
Fighter of the Year, Mangte Chungneijang Merykom (aka Mary Kom
or MC Merykom), was honored with yet another award to her long list
of her collection, with the CNN-IBN, where was picked for the
“Real Heroes” award.
On April 14, 2008, the award was presented to
Mary Kom at the
Oberoi Hotel, in Mumbai, in recognition of her contribution towards
working with other boxers, in addition to her personal achievements
and work in the sport.
Mary Kom was among 24 Indians who were honored for their
contribution in the field of social work, development of sports and
coaching activities.
