WBAN requests Video Footage of Salandy vs. Lukasik
By Sue TL Fox
April 16, 2008

(APR 16) On March 29, 2008, Giselle Salandy, of Siperai, Trinidad, and who remains undefeated at 16-0-0, with 13 of those fights all taking place in Trinidad, won by a 10-round unanimous decision over Karolina Lukasik, for eight world title belts.

It did not take long for WBAN to get word from others, that her opponent, Poland's Lukasik, who ventured out of Germany to fight Salandy, was supposedly  “Ripped Off” in Trinidad on that date, and was told that her team was protesting.

Shortly after this fight, WBAN received a fight report from Boxu Potts, who is affiliated with Salandy, and was at one time Salandy's promoter.

On March 31, 2008, I  requested a video of this fight from Potts --- especially in light of the fact that we wanted to view the video to see if there was any basis to the fight being as big of a rip-off as reported to WBAN.

In addition----this particular fight was a "very important" fight to view, as it is a  "history marker" bout, with eight world title bouts placed on the competition, which at this time are the most title belts offered in one bout.

Potts said that he would send the video to WBAN.  We have since emailed Potts twice about the video with no response---and obviously we have not been able to view this video.
