Best Damned Sports Goes Girl Fight
By Katherine Dunn
February 10, 2007

(FEB 10) The Best Damned Sports Show on FOX will earn its name yet again with a high quality all-female, all-championship fight card on March 22. The bouts
will be broadcast from the Isleta Casino and Resort of
Albuquerque, N.M. Women’s title bouts are ten rounds,
with each round running 2 minutes.

In the main event, Albuquerque’s southpaw home girl
Holly Holm (16-1) will try to unify her IFBA welterweight title with the titles of several other sanctioning bodies in a ten round encounter with tough Ann-Marie Saccurato (12-1, 5 KOs) of New York.

The IFBA featherweight champ, smart Kelsey Jeffries,
(36-9-1, 3 KOs) of Gilroy, CA, is trained by Buddy McGirt and will defend her title against undefeated Rhonda Luna (11-0-1) of Irvine, CA.

The Junior Featherweight champ of the IFBA, Jackie
Chavez (9-2, 3 KOs) of Las Lunas, N.M. will defend
against southpaw Lisa Brown ( 12-3-3) of Ontario, Canada.

--Katherine Dunn

Note: WBAN will be having J & P Photography, Patricia Butuad, covering this event!
